Learning online and discovering new realities online. What we can do if we surf the web and help our students learn online
|
In the first two weeks of the Mooc we have been guided into the best ways for planning and thinking about lessons with input related to museums.
I have already started to think about what I might to once I have chosen a museum in London and the types of activities I would like to do with my students. It is important to design activities that are helpful and engaging. I will work on them in the next days and for the final week. Meanwhile I am checking online what the other participants are sharing and I wish I could visit all the interesting places they are presenting online. It is an enriching experience online. |
Week 3 My Lesson Plan
|
Instructions for the teachers in the Mooc
You will have to write a lesson plan and review the lesson plans of 3 course peers. The lesson plan should cover any part of a museum learning experience: it could cover a preparatory lesson before you visit a museum, a lesson plan to outline the activities during a museum visit, or it could address a follow-up lesson to a museum visit. Your lesson plan could also be part of a bigger museum project, for example an eTwinning project. Make sure to integrate the worksheet or other type of resource you created in Module 2 into your lesson plan. THE LESSON PLAN https://v.gd/yAp4i0 |

Learning online and using Web tools to showcase what students have learnt. The students will explore the virtual museum and will bookmark important webpages and documents that they want to use in their presentations. |
Next Step : showcasing what students have learnt
The students will share information and what they have found online by creating videos, short presentations and designing websites where they showcase their artefacts about the V& A Museum. Possible platforms: New Google Sites and Weebly.
For creating presentations they might use GOOGLE SLIDES or GOOGLE DOCS which can be embedded in wikis and websites.
For creating video recording they will use LOOM or SCREENCASTIFY , once they have created their videos online they will download them and upload them on the Youtube Platform.
